BIO-HAZARD:
a relative comedy
Synopsis
Adoptee Sarah Elizabeth Greer's life is thrown into a tizzy after she experiences the crash of her biological mother calling out-of-the-blue and gripping Sarah with the neurobiological ecstasy of recognition late in her college career. Danger Will Robinson! But she loses her again. Now an actress and waitress in New York, she's in spiritual agony. When her existential crisis reaches Code Red, Sarah desperately calls Robert DeNiro, because his number is all her well-meaning scene partner can offer in her time of need. As Sarah navigates the mind-bending and sign-laden streets of the City, she begins unlikely connections with celebrity mother figures like Carol Burnett and Edie Falco, but they don't deliver the deep connection she seeks. It takes an out-of-left-field callback from DeNiro himself and a madcap trip to LA to meet with him, where he tells her "If it's not on the page, it's not on the stage," to fill her with new purpose. She creates a play and casts her two mothers, bio and adoptive, in the hopes that together they can change their story of disconnection and disappointment into joy, redemption and closeness.

“I think BIO-HAZARD: a relative comedy is one of the funniest plays I have ever seen. It is so filled with humor and surprise…twists and turns that absolutely cannot be believed, except they’re true! You will never forget it...."
